Editorial policy changes: Persistent Identifier DOI

Innovation and Software journal now has a unique and permanent identifier for electronic publications called DOI (Digital Object Identifier), which provides information on the description of digital objects (magazines, articles, etc.) and their location on the Internet, through metadata (author, title, publication data, etc.).

The DOI is mainly assigned to articles of electronic magazines, but also to books, chapters of books, minutes and communications of congresses, software, videos, etc. Also to "in press" articles, which are already available from online scientific magazine platforms but not yet included in a volume. In these cases, the DOI serves as a reference to the article. The DOI URL is as follows: https://doi.org/10.48168/innosoft.

Editorial policy changes: Persistent identifiers

All the articles and issues published by Innovation and Software already have persistent identifiers. In our case, we have 02 alternative persistent identifiers to DOI: the ARK and the PURL. Each article and each issue has an ARK ("Archival Resource Key") and a PURL ("Persistent Uniform Resource Locator") that guarantee permanent access to the articles, thanks to the constant recording, tracking and monitoring of metadata. To ensure its operation, the ARK and PURL are always shown as a complete URL link, both in the presentation of articles and issues of the journal. The NAAN ("Name Assigning Authority Number") for the ARK is resolved by N2T.net (Name-to-Thing) and can be verified in the following link. The PURL service is resolved by the Internet Archive and can be verified at the link below.
