Diagnosis from a complex approach of vulnerable areas in the city of León following the lockdown: the case of the community center of the Ibero-American University of León

Abstract

The mission of the Educational Center for Community Services (CESCOM) of the Universidad Iberoamericana León is to contribute to the comprehensive training of the university community and promote the development of people and groups in situations of poverty, vulnerability and exclusion, through activities and projects that respond to social problems.

In relation to this mission, our research aims to provide elements that allow the design of CESCOM care strategies in the San Pedro de los Hernández neighborhood in terms of community development, considering the community's expectations and the possibilities of adaptation in the context of the post-health contingency derived from COVID-19. With the collection of information and its appropriate classification and interpretation, we will know the impact that the health contingency has had on the users of CESCOM, the variables that affect their adaptation, and the capabilities of CESCOM to respond to the situation through actions and strategies from a complex perspective to continue with its activities and serve its users.
