Towards a new philosophical horizon to face the ethical and regulatory challenges posed by artificial intelligence
Abstract
This article is based on the fact that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a reality present in numerous facets of our lives for which it offers numerous benefits. However, it is not free of risks and challenges that must be accurately described. This article shows some of the most important risks and challenges that AI poses to us, and focuses on Yuk Hui's contribution by pointing out that it is possible that what is at stake is the very notion of the human. After pointing out the risks, the article offers possible ways of responding to these challenges, paying special attention to Yuk Hui's proposal to face the decisive challenge to the very viability of the human that the development of AI may not be addressing.
